Ambassador Cruise Line can confirm that, following extensive sea trials on board Ambition, Zelim’s ZOE MOB automated man overboard detection system was running on board the vessel at the time of the incident (21/08/26) as part of the continuation of the integration process. The incident was detected by ZOE MOB in real-time.
Ambassador has been working closely with Zelim on the development of the ZOE MOB detection system since early 2025. Earlier this year, ZOE achieved full certification against the product operating standard by the relevant authorities and incorporated additional ISO recommendations at the end of July, which signalled the start of the handover process. It has yet to be integrated into the vessel’s operating procedures and this is part of this ongoing process. It is scheduled for full deployment on Ambition by the end of the year.
