Beyond-human certainty
Advanced computer vision and
video analytics detect safety
and security incidents in real-time
across people, vessels and operations.
Designed for continuous performance
with consistent detection and monitoring
in day and night, and
all weather conditions.
ISO 21195 compliant MOB detection
delivering 98 percent accuracy,
with fewer than one nuisance
alarm per day.
ZOE is Zelim’s intelligent detection and monitoring system, engineered to safeguard people, vessels and critical maritime operations. Leveraging advanced computer vision, machine learning and real-world maritime expertise, ZOE delivers persistent, always-on awareness across complex marine environments, from passenger vessels to offshore assets and defence platforms. Deployed across global maritime fleets and validated in live operational environments, ZOE is built for real-world performance. When seconds matter, certainty matters more.
Automated man-overboard detection
Detection with in-water tracking
Intelligent hazard detection
360° situational monitoring
Instant detection when a person falls overboard, delivering immediate alerts within the critical survival window. Operating across IR and RGB imaging, MOB provides continuous performance in all weather conditions, day and night. Engineered to comply with ISO 21195:2020 performance requirements, and validated for high detection accuracy with minimal nuisance alarms, trained on over 9.5 million annotated maritime objects and refined through real-world deployment.
Adds sustained tracking to automated overboard detection, maintaining visual contact throughout rescue and recovery operations. Advanced tracking algorithms support precise localisation of the individual in the water, in high sea states and all weather conditions, day and night. Designed to accelerate response and reduce search time during rescue operations.
Detection models trained on a proprietary maritime dataset of over 9.5 million annotated objects enable reliable event recognition in dynamic sea states and variable visibility conditions. Integrated visual and audible alerts are triggered immediately upon overboard detection.
Engineered to meet ISO 21195:2020 performance requirements. Extended recognition capability proven to detect adults, children and infants, enhancing safety across crew and passengers.
Following detection, ZOE MOB+ maintains sustained tracking of the person in the water. Delivers precise localisation and sustained visual contact throughout recovery operations.
Time-stamped detection events stored within encrypted system architecture. Provides structured records for audit, investigation and compliance review.
Augmenting human watchkeeping capability, Lookout detects and classifies navigational hazards that radar or AIS may miss, including small, low-profile or non-transmitting objects. Harnessing the power of advanced computer vision and video analytics, Lookout strengthens bridge awareness in complex marine environments. Delivers continuous monitoring to reduce collision risk and support safer navigation.
Lookout+ delivers extended detection coverage around the vessel or asset with enhanced perimeter visibility and multi-directional monitoring. Designed for high-traffic and operationally complex environments, where reaction time and clarity are critical. Configured to suit vessel geometry and operational risk profiles. Supports greater situational control across crowded waterways and restricted approaches.
Enhances human watchkeepers through computer vision-driven monitoring and up to 360° vessel visibility. Provides continuous detection coverage beyond natural human line of sight.
Automated always-on watchkeeping operates day and night without fatigue or degradation. Maintains uninterrupted awareness across changing lighting, weather and traffic conditions.
Optional audible and visual alerts notify crews of potential hazards. Supports earlier intervention to reduce the risk of collision, structural damage and safety incidents.
All detections are time-stamped and recorded within a secure system architecture. Provides structured incident history for audit, investigation and crew training.
ZOE can be deployed on both retrofit and newbuild vessels. MOB cameras use Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), simplifying cabling and reducing installation complexity. The system is designed to integrate cleanly into existing onboard infrastructure with minimal disruption.
ZOE integrates using standard maritime communication protocols including NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000. This enables seamless data exchange with bridge displays and navigation systems without requiring proprietary interfaces.
Camera quantity depends on vessel geometry, deck layout and desired coverage. For full 360° coverage, installations typically range between 12 and 26 cameras. A vessel-specific configuration is defined during the system design phase.
ZOE uses commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) camera components to support straightforward maintenance. Modules are designed for field replacement and hot swapping, allowing crews to perform routine servicing without specialist intervention.
Yes. ZOE uses both RGB and uncooled thermal sensors to provide redundant detection capability across day and night operations. The system is designed to operate in adverse weather, including wind, rain, snow and heavy sea states.
